Published November 5, 2015 by Jenn Andrew

Everyone hates Mondays but why not make it the best day of the week?

Comic Warehouse has their Games Night on Monday night starting at 6PM and the earlier you get there the better it is for you to start a game.

Late comers should come with friends so you can play right away.  The best way to wind down after the first day back at work is with boardgames.  Then the rest of the week is clear sailing!

Come out one Monday and enjoy the play!

Heroclix Tournament

Published June 14, 2015 by Jenn Andrew

heroclix

Well Saturday has come and gone and another Heroclix match has met it’s end. I did better today during The Age of Ultron tournament. You were given two booster packs and you had to create a 300 point team to beat your opponents. There was a large turnout and although I didn’t win any of the three rounds, I did walk away with some points.

My team consisted of Alexis, Machine Man and Wasp for a total of 255 points. The first round, I took down one of the guys in my opponent’s team. The second round, against a veteran player, I took down two guys in my opponent’s team. In the last round, I played against someone who had his dice working for him every step of the way. Even with probability and outwit, he still had awesome rolls – hence my total defeat where I walked away with no points.

I am still learning and there are so many rules to keep an eye on, but it’s still challenging to play. People always try to help because we consider ourselves the Heroclix family of players at Comic Warehouse. There are a few wayward characters but they are soon put in his or her place. Then the game moves on.

Every Saturday at 1pm. Join in the fun if you can.

Once the dust has settled and everyone has practically forgotten about that day, I received many comics that lead the way to new issues that I will be reviewing in the coming weeks.
